People to interact with: your daily shortlist

On your dashboard, People to interact with lists up to five contacts who match your ideal customer very well, but with whom you've barely interacted. It's where a like, a comment or a message pays off most.

Who appears

A contact is listed when all of these are true:

  • their ICP level is High or Excellent in at least one of your campaign audiences, or in the audience you selected;
  • you've had little or no recent interaction with them;
  • they are not archived;
  • they are not in a pipeline column whose type is Done or Abandoned.

The best fits come first, five at most. The shortlist updates by itself as levels and interactions change.

What counts as an interaction

Swimlane keeps track of your recent exchanges with each contact: conversation activity, their visits to your profile, clicks on the links you sent them, an accepted invitation. As these add up, the contact leaves the shortlist. Their effect fades over time, so someone you haven't been in touch with for a while can come back.

Focus on one campaign

Use the selector next to the title. All audiences (the default) ranks contacts by their best level across campaigns. Choosing an audience ranks them by that campaign's ICP only. The selector lists the audiences of campaigns with ICP match switched on, and leaves out paused campaigns.

When the widget is hidden

With All audiences selected and nobody matching, the widget doesn't appear at all. The usual reasons:

  • no active campaign has ICP match switched on;
  • levels are still being computed for a new campaign;
  • every High and Excellent contact has recently been engaged, archived, or placed in a Done or Abandoned column.

If you selected a specific audience and nobody matches, the widget stays with "No one to suggest for this audience yet." so you can switch back.

A daily routine

  1. Open Dashboard and click a name: the contact panel opens.
  2. Read the Swimlane Analysis section and the conversation if there is one.
  3. Choose one meaningful gesture: a personal message from the inbox, a connection request if you're not connected, or a like or comment on their latest post on LinkedIn.
  4. Come back tomorrow. As your exchanges add up, the person drops off and the next good fit takes their place.

Tips

  • Five people a day is a sustainable rhythm that compounds over weeks.
  • When a deal is closed, won or lost, move the contact to a column typed Done or Abandoned (column menu → Column type). They stop resurfacing.
  • If someone keeps appearing but isn't a fit, archive them, or sharpen your campaign's ICP paragraph (see Write an ICP description that ranks contacts well).
