La Growth Machine and HeyReach integrations
Swimlane has cards for La Growth Machine (LGM) and HeyReach in Settings → Integrations. This article explains what they do today, and how to send Swimlane contacts to either tool.
What the cards do today
Both cards work the same way:
- Click Settings at the bottom of the left sidebar, then Integrations.
- On the La Growth Machine or HeyReach card, click Configure.
- Paste your API Key. Get API Key opens the API page of that tool.
- Click Test & Save Integration. Swimlane calls the tool once with your key (La Growth Machine: it reads your audiences; HeyReach: it reads your lists). If the call succeeds, the key is saved for your organization and the card shows Connected.
That is all they do for now. Swimlane does not push contacts, lists or campaign results to La Growth Machine or HeyReach, and it doesn't import anything from them. The descriptions in the configuration windows mention pushing contacts for outreach, but no sync runs. Last sync shows the date you last saved the key, not a data transfer.
- The key is stored for the whole organization: any member sees the card as Connected.
- Reconfigure replaces the key. Disable turns the integration off.
Send contacts to La Growth Machine or HeyReach
Until a native sync exists, connect the tools through n8n or Make, using the Swimlane public API and the other tool's API.
Hand over contacts a rep picked (recommended)
- In Swimlane, create a tag such as "To LGM" or "To HeyReach", and have reps put it on the contacts to hand over.
- In n8n or Make, run a scheduled workflow (every 15 minutes, for example) that calls
GET https://api.getswimlane.com/v1/contacts?tag_id=<tag id>. - For each contact, build the LinkedIn profile address
https://www.linkedin.com/in/<linkedinId>and add the lead to your LGM audience or HeyReach list through their API (follow their documentation for the exact call and the API key header). - Replace the tag on the contact with a "Sent" tag through
POST /v1/contacts/<uuid>/tags. This call replaces all the contact's tags, so send the full list.
Recipes with the exact Swimlane calls are in Connect Swimlane to n8n and Connect Swimlane to Make.
Hand over every new contact of a list
- Subscribe a webhook to Contact Created (see Set up webhooks).
- In the workflow, read the contact with
GET /v1/contacts/<uuid>and keep it only iflistUuidscontains the list you want. - Send it to the other tool.
Avoid double outreach
If a contact goes to La Growth Machine or HeyReach, don't also enroll them in a Swimlane campaign from the same LinkedIn account. Swimlane doesn't know what the other tool sends, and nothing stops two tools from messaging the same person. Keep a clear rule, for example a "Sent to HeyReach" tag, and leave those contacts out of the lists that feed your Swimlane campaigns.
Good to know
- Contacts created through the Swimlane API have no LinkedIn profile. Hand over contacts imported from LinkedIn, which have a
linkedinId. - The Swimlane API allows 100 requests per minute per user. Keep batches small.
