Check your daily usage

To protect your LinkedIn account, Swimlane caps how much it does for you each day. The Usage page shows where you stand against each daily ceiling.

Open the Usage page

  1. Open Settings from the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Click Usage in the General group.

Each card shows a ring with what you have used today and the ceiling, written as "used / ceiling".

The counters

  • Daily Profile Scrapes: LinkedIn profiles Swimlane fetched to create or refresh contacts. The plan allows up to 80 per day.
  • Daily Invitations Sent: connection requests sent, by campaigns or by you from Swimlane. The ceiling is 20 per day by default.
  • Daily Messages Sent: LinkedIn messages sent from Swimlane. The ceiling is 150 per day by default.
  • Daily Conversations: new people you start a conversation with today. This card only appears once you have set a ceiling for it.
  • Daily Imported Contacts: contacts added by imports. The plan allows up to 2,500 per day.

A counter without any ceiling is not shown.

How the ceilings work

  • They reset at midnight in your timezone.
  • You set them in Settings → Import & Automation Limits. Invitations and messages can go up to 200 per day. Profile scrapes and imported contacts can only be lowered below the plan's maximum, never raised above it.
  • Swimlane refuses rather than exceeds. When a ceiling is reached, the actions waiting for it are held until the reset. In the Queue panel they show Waiting for daily limit, and they resume by themselves the next day (see Follow background tasks in the Queue panel).
  • A small notification keeps you informed as counters grow, showing how many actions are left today or that the daily limit is reached. For messages, it only appears when you get close to the ceiling.
  • A workspace without an active subscription has no allowance at all: every ceiling drops to zero until access is restored.

Reading your usage

  • A counter regularly at its ceiling means your automations are asking for more than your limits allow. That is safe: work is spread over the following days. If it slows you down, prioritise: fewer campaigns at once, or smaller lists.
  • Invitations at their ceiling every day deserve attention: LinkedIn also limits invitations over a week, so steady volumes work better than peaks.
  • Very low counters while campaigns are running can mean LinkedIn needs to be reconnected, or that your virtual office hours leave little time to work. Check the Queue panel.

Good to know

  • The counters are yours: each member of a team has their own daily counters and ceilings.
  • The Usage page only reads the numbers. To change a ceiling, use Import & Automation Limits.
