A tour of the dashboard

The Dashboard answers two questions: who should you talk to today, and where do new leads come from? Open it from Dashboard in the sidebar. Swimlane itself opens on your Inbox, so the dashboard is a page you visit on purpose, ideally at the start of the day.

Below the greeting, the page has two columns. Most blocks only appear when they have something to show.

Left column

Find new leads

Always visible. Three cards each open a search in a window, without leaving the dashboard:

  • People Search: describe the persona you are looking for. AI generates job-title variants and exclusions, runs the LinkedIn search and scores the profiles so you can choose who to import.
  • Thematic Posts: find the authors of LinkedIn posts about a topic.
  • Lead Magnet Hunters: find the authors of posts that give away a resource (guide, template, PDF) in exchange for a comment.

This is the only place in the app where these three searches are available.

Pipeline

Shown once you have at least one pipeline. It draws a funnel with the number of contacts in each stage, in stage order.

  • Use the selector on the right to switch pipelines. Your choice is remembered in this browser.
  • Click Open pipeline to go to the board.

If the pipeline is empty, you see "No contacts in this pipeline yet."

Active campaigns

Shown when at least one campaign is running. It adds up the results of all active campaigns:

  • Pending, Deferred or Pending / Deferred: actions not sent yet. Hover the tile to read why deferred actions wait: the daily limit or your working hours were reached, and they go out automatically afterwards.
  • Messages Sent, Replied and Reply Rate, when your campaigns send messages.
  • Connection requests, Connections accepted and Invitations accepted rate, when they send invitations.

Tiles at zero are hidden. Click Open campaigns to see each campaign.

Right column

Reminders

Shown when you have reminders. One row per contact linked to a reminder:

  • A red row with an alarm icon is due today or overdue.
  • Upcoming reminders follow, earliest first.
  • A reminder you mark as done stays for 24 hours, struck through with a green check, then leaves the dashboard.

Hover a row to Mark as done or Delete it. Click the row to open the contact.

People to interact with

A shortlist of up to 5 contacts who closely match your ideal customer profile, with a High or Excellent ICP level, but with whom you have barely interacted so far. The best fits come first. Contacts that are archived, or that sit in a pipeline stage marked as done or abandoned, are left out.

  • The selector narrows the list to the ideal customer profile of one campaign. All audiences uses the best fit across your campaigns. Campaigns that are paused are not offered.
  • Click a person to open the contact and decide on your next move: a like, a comment on LinkedIn, or a message.

This block needs ICP levels, which come from the ideal customer profile written in a campaign's Audience step. Until you set one, it stays hidden.

Recent conversations

Your 4 most recent LinkedIn conversations, with a preview of the last message and its date. Click a row to open the contact, or Open conversations to go to the Inbox.

Good to know

  • The dashboard never shows a score. ICP fit appears as a level, and nothing ranks contacts with points.
  • On a phone, the dashboard is the first icon of the bottom bar. The columns stack one below the other.

Make it a habit

Start your day here: clear due Reminders, reach out to one or two People to interact with, glance at Active campaigns, then move to the inbox. Your daily 15-minute routine in Swimlane turns this into a full routine.
